Abstract

Nowadays, the informatization of public and business management is a necessity that Cuba has assumed. The informatization management follows a simple-to-complex approach, first focusing on infrastructure and information availability to then allowing digital business, electronic commerce and automation. The goal of this paper is to show the convenience of keeping attention on two important dimensions in the informatization: integration (of data that is currently managed in isolation) and the use of computational intelligence. Thus, we study two cases related to the possible design of services (transportation network design, and victim attention). The argument, based on probable assumptions, demonstrates how these services may be improved base on an integrated and intelligent informatization.
