The methods used for training business managers are a current issue of business schools and consulting organizations. The need to change from the teaching process, with a preponderant role of teachers, to the learning process with much greater student participation is a generalized trend. Many new methods have emerged in recent years to achieve this purpose: e-learning, case study, role play, blending, coaching and monitoring, just to name a few of them. The objective of the article is to present an analysis, based on the results and experiences obtained in the Postgraduate Specialty of Business Administration and Management of the Higher School of State and Government Cadres, on the effectiveness of the techniques used in the teaching and learning process in this specific form for adult education. The specific purpose of this research is to identify good practices that promote raising the quality and effectiveness of the training of managers and business executives.
