Mining in its link with the national plan of economic and social development until 2030

Before the Triumph of the Revolution, the geological knowledge of minerals in Cuba was very low. Mining is part of a strategic axis of development (natural resources and environment); the work of the Revolution has been built with Cuban mineral resources. According to the provisions of the guiding documents Conceptualization of the Cuban economic and social model of socialist development and the foundations of the national plan for economic and social development until 2030, Mining transversely and directly contributes with 5 strategic sectors (Construction, Health and Technical -Professional Services, Food, Sugar Production and its derivatives and Light Industry). The objective of the article is to establish that Mining is part of a strategic axis that promotes several sectors of development in the country, using the following methods: Historical Logical, Analytic Synthetic, Strategic Prospecting and Consultation with experts.
